We are so excited to get these screen printing packages shipped out. This week we will be putting the finishing touches on before they are enroute to our first cohort of students!
This was a huge shift in our plans, as we transitioned from delivering content in person to delivering the training completely online, where students are given the tools to build their own home studios. It’s been a crazy push to finish these up on top of all of our regular course planning, with the same timeline, but we couldn’t be happier with the results!
Many of these items were designed for CNC all with the intent of rapid production and flat packed shipping, which has been on Andy’s to-do list for years! Just needed the right motivation and voila!
This marks a huge milestone for Screen the World and soon these very same packages will be made available to the general public as well.

We are a multidisciplinary team with a rich and diverse background who want to empower anyone, anywhere, to start to screenprint.
hello, I’ve purchased a membership and am looking for the plans/cut lists? Somehow my searching has only yielded videos. Thanks for the help!
Hi Robyn,
At the moment, we only have the video how-to’s, which can be found here: https://screentheworld.org/video-library/
All of the details with important measurements are found in the videos. We are though in actiive develeopment of making written plans. I will check in with how that is going and get back to you shortly. Out of curiousity, which equipment are you looking to build first?
Hi Robyn,
The exposing unit build guide should be up by the end of next week.
Hello! This post has all the information I was looking for, thanks!
As a followup to the requests on the kits, some info……. the ones in Adrian’s picture include a whole ‘studio in a box’, (actually, two boxes which weigh 100 lbs!) which includes an exposing unit, a vacuum table, a t-shirt jig, a lamp, coater, squeegees, two screens, set of inks, emulsion, remover, film, paper, book – and instructional material on how to assemble the presses and exposing unit, set up a studio, and how to use all the rest of the material to start screenprinting.
That package is about $1500 all in.
We will provide pricing on individual components as well.
ORRRRRRRRR>>>>>>>>!!!!!!!!!!!!
For you who are clever and want to save shipping costs and a lot of money on this full kit, Screen The World (STW) membership will give you web access to construction plans and step-by-step video so you can build the 3 main components (exposing unit, vac table, t-shirt jig) with locally sourced skills and materials.
Parts and cutting list, and step by step vids you can watch online to help you build the kit. You also get detailed instructions on setting up and using the equipment to make prints on paper, fabric, and plenty of tips to help you grow your skills and abilities.
Teachers – we will provide a syllabus of the course, and lesson plans.
You will still need to get some supplies to get started, but those are things you would need to find locally. We can ship to places in western Canada or around the world, but screenprinting supplies can be found in most larger cities, and we have connections with screenprinters in many countries to help our members.
Individual membership to STW (full access) will be in the $30 range.
Institutional / Academic…. TBD.
We hope to have everything up and functional before the end of the month. Stay tuned and we will share our first groups adventures with the squeegee.

This sounds so great! I would love to join as a member when you are up and running and give the self-construction a shot!
I also am interested in one of these kits.
Hi Maye
Thank you so much for your interest.
We are currently working really hard on many different aspects on screenprinting education and it will likely be a couple months at least until we can begin to offer these kits commercially.
We will be in touch 🙂
I would love to order one of these! In Victoria, BC.
Hi Deidre,

Hi,
Very interested by your kit, what an awesome idea ! How much is it for one and do you ship worldwide ?
I live in Belize (Central America) and dream about screenprinting since I arrived 4 years ago as I was doing some before,. Your kit could be an easy solution to start here 🙂
Hi Virginie,
Thank you so much for your interest.

It is also exciting to hear that you are reaching out from Central America – I understand English is the predominant language in Belize, but I wanted to share that we are very interested in developing our educational material in a Spanish version as well.
We will be in touch 🙂
